— A largely attended celebration of her life was held
Wednesday, May 2, 2001, at 11 a.m. in the Assembly of God Christian Center
with Pastor Dennis Marquardt officiating. Music was provided by Ann Dykema and
Norma Rollet. Attending were many relatives, friends and neighbors, faculty
and staff form Vergennes High School and Ferrisburgh Central School, and
Addison County Home Health Care personnel. Interment followed in North
Ferrisburg Cemetery with Pastor Marquardt offering committal prayers. Bearers
were Paul Leclair Jr., Joseph Leclair, John Leclair, Rick Ploof, Larry Ploof,
and Raymond Atwood. Arrangements were by the Ready Funeral Home South Chapel,
261 Shelburne Road, Burlington.

BURLINGTON — MORRING, John Henry — A Mass of Christian Burial was
celebrated Thursday, May 3, 2001, at 11 a.m. in Christ the King Roman Catholic
Church bythe Rev. Roland Rivard and assisted by Deacon Louis Meunier. Music
was provided by Christine and Kenneth Hebert. The readings were proclaimed by
his daughter-in-law, Harriet Morring, and grandson Christopher Morring. The
offertory gifts were presented by his son William, his wife, Harriet, and
children Christopher and Anne. Words of remembrance were offered by Anne
Morring, William Morring, and family friends Lucy Kropat and Judith Meacham.
Burial followed in Lakeview Cemetery with theRev. Rivard offering committal
prayers. Full military honors were accorded with the American Flag being
presented to his son, William by the Vermont Air National Guard. Arrangements
were by the Ready Funeral Home South Chapel, 261 Shelburne Road., Burlington.

BURLINGTON — BARBER, William H. — A Mass of Christian Burial was
celebrated at 1 p.m. Friday by the Rev. Raymond Doherty and the Rev. John
Hamilton, concelebrant. The pall was placed on the casket by Bill’s son and
daughter-in-law, Darin and Tanya Barber. The gifts were brought to the altar
by Nancy Greene and Jacqueline Sinapi, Bill’s sisters. Parishioners of St.
Joseph and St. John Vianney parishes were in attendance as well as
representatives from Fletcher Allen Urology, Lamoille County Sheriff’s
Office and various local retailers, and relatives and friends. Ushers were
Leo Marcotte and Ernest Charboneau. Interment followed in Resurrection Park
Cemetery with the Rev. Hamilton offering the committal prayers. The flag was
presented to Bill’s wife, Natalie. Bearers were Lincoln and Andrew Greene,
nephews, Barry Emerson and Mark Bove, brothers-in-law, and family friends
John Bove and Joseph Bergeron. Arrangements were by Boucher and Pritchard
Funeral Directors.

 


BURLINGTON — ROSTKOWSKI, Jeanne (Couture) — A Mass of Christian
Burial was celebrated by the Rev. Stephen Hornat, S.S.E., rector, in St.
Joseph Co-Cathedral on Friday, May 4, 2001, at 9 a.m. A combined honor guard
was formed by members of the Confraternity of St. Joseph and the Third Order
of St. Francis, both of whom conducted prayer services in the funeral home
Thursday. Delegations were present from the Sisters of St. Joseph and the
Champlain Senior Center whose director, Cindy Zook, spoke the kindest words of
remembrance. The casket was draped with the pall by the bearers, all
grandsons, David Hammond, Dwayne, Daniel, and Todd Hebert, Todd Blanchard and
David Bean. The gift bearers, all granddaughters, were Shawna, Tara, and
Amanda Hebert. All music for the Mass was performed by relatives Ken and
Christine Hebert and family. Interment followed in New Mount Calvary Cemetery
with the Rev. Hornat conducting the committal services. Arrangements were in
the care of Elmwood-Meunier Funeral Home.

MIDDLEBURY — HALPIN, Noreen — Graveside committal services and
burial for Noreen Halpin, who passed away Jan. 19, 2001, will be held
Saturday, May 5, at 2 p.m. in St. Mary’s Cemetery. The Rev. John McDermott,
pastor of St. Marys Catholic Church will officiate. Sanderson Funeral Home
is in care of the arrangements

 
SHELBURNE — KEYES,
John E
. — A memorial service for John E. Keyes, who died March 30, 2001,
at his home in Shelburne, will be held Saturday, May 5, at 2 p.m. in the Wake
Robin Community Center in Shelburne. Interment will take place June 17 in the
Memorial Garden at Christ Church (Episcopal) in Montpelier.

BURLINGTON — MEDLAR, Marcus IV — A Mass of Christian Burial was
celebrated Monday, May 7, 2001, at 11 a.m. in St. Mark’s Roman Catholic
Church, by the Rev. John Feltz. Music was provided by Christine and Kenneth
Hebert. The pall was placed on the casket by Marc’s parents, Marc and Trudy
Medlar. The readings were proclaimed by family friend Karen Stebbins. The
offertory gifts were presented by cousins, Christine and Brian Mailhotte and
Tony Mazza. Poems in remembrance of Marc were read by friends Mindy
Cunningham, Barbara Jackson and Melissa Relyea. Burial followed in Lakeview
Cemetery with the Rev. Feltz reading committal prayers. An honorary escort
to the cemetery was provided by tow trucks from Spillane’s Service Center
and Ron’s Gulf. Bearers were cousins Brian Mailhotte, Tony, Michael and
Joseph Mazza, and friends Mindy Cunningham and Nathan and Justin Hayes.
Arrangements were by the Ready Funeral Home North Chapel, 934 North Ave.,
Burlington.

ISLE — MILLER, Joanne Lewis — A Mass of Christian Burial was
celebrated on Monday May 7, at 10:00 a.m. in the Cathedral of the Immaculate
Conception Roman Catholic Church, by Rev. Thomas Ball. Music was provided by
the Cathedral Choir of Christian Burial. In attendance were many relatives,
friends, and neighbors. Interment followed in Resurrection Park Cemetery with
Rev. Ball offering committal prayers. Bearers were Andy Lewis, Michael Lewis,
Timothy Lewis, Michael Lewis, Robin Bushey and Bob Miller. Arrangements were
by Ready Funeral Home, South Chapel, Burlington.

 
SOUTH BURLINGTON —
THOMPSON, Barbara Elizabeth (Evans)
— A memorial service will be held
Monday, May 7, 2001, at 11 a.m. in the First Congregational Church, 38 S.
Winooski Ave., Burlington. Mrs. Thompson died Feb. 22, 2001, in Vermont
Respite House. Burial was in the family lot in Lakeview Cemetery. The family
wish to extend their sincere appreciation for the loving care shown Barbara
during her illness. Corbin and Palmer Funeral Home, 71 S. Union St.,
Burlington, is in charge of arrangements
 


COLCHESTER — VALIQUETTE, Fredrick J. — A Mass of Christian Burial was
celebrated by Fr. Roger Charbonneau on Monday, May 7 at 11 a.m. in Holy Cross
Church. Sr. Carman delivered the readings. Representatives were present from
Lake Champlain Transit Co. as well as many friends and neighbors of his
Mallets Bay area. Bearers were Fred Valiquette Jr., Gary Utter, Bob LaValley,
Hubert Chamberlain, John Valiquette Jr., and Howard Ross Jr. To add to his
obituary, he was also predeceased by another son-in-law, Herbert Chamberlain,
in 1997. Interment was held in New Mount Calvary Cemetery with Fr. Charbonneau
conducting the committal service. Arrangements were in the care of Elmwood-Meunier
Funeral Home, Burlington.

James F.
— A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday, May 8,
2001, at 11:30 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church by the
Rev. Philip LaMothe. Music was provided by Arthur Pare. Burial followed in
Shelburne Village Cemetery with the Rev. LaMothe reading committal prayers.
Bearers were Ray Marcotullio, Barry Howard, Michael Irish and John Cooper.
Arrangements were by the Ready Funeral Home South Chapel, 261 Shelburne
Road, Burlington.
 


BURLINGTON — RYAN, Thomas — A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated
Tuesday, May 8, at 10 a.m. in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in
Burlington by theRev. Thomas Ball. Concelebrant was the Rev. Richard Lavalley.
The readings were proclaimed by Kathy Day and Patti Meyer. The Responsorial
Psalm was read by John Barry. The Prayer of the Faithful was read by Dallas
St. Peter. The offertory gifts were pre sented by Tom’s daughters, Kristie
Barber, Micky LaBonte, Michelle Guilmette and Stephanie Ryan. Among the many
in attendance were students and faculty from St. Francis Xavier School and
Rice Memorial High School and delegations from the U. S. Postal Service and
the Knights of Columbus. Music was by the St. Francis Xavier Choir. Interment
followed in the St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Winooski with the Rev. Ball
offering committal prayers. Bearers were John Leclair, Anthony Leclair,
Richard Brosseau, Daniel Ryan Jr., David Day and Tom Douglas. Arrangements
were by the Lavigne Funeral Home, Winooski.

Thursday, May 10, at 1 p.m., in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Middlebury. Any who

ST. ALBANS —
LEDOUX,The Rev John C.,
— A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated for
the Rev John C. Ledoux on Thursday, May 10, at 11 a.m. in Holy Angels
Church.The principal celebrant was the Most Rev. Kenneth A. Angell, bishop of
the Diocese of Burlington. Concelebrating with the bishop were seminary
classmates the Rev. Walter Miller, the Rev. George Dupuis, the Rev. Jean-Paul
LaPlante, the Rev. Bernard Depeau and longtime friend, the Rev. Charles
Davignon. Master of ceremonies was the Rev. Walter Miller. The Rev Davignon
was the homilist. The scripture readings were by his niece, Carol Graham, and
K. of C. Commander Russel Porwitzky. Prayer of the Faithful was read by Linda
Previti. Altar servers were his grand-niece Kelly Steadman, grandnephews Marc
and Paul Leone, Charles and Eric Hungerford, and friend Nornand Blouin. Music
was provided by Father Ledoux’s nieces and nephews under the direction of
niece Claire Hungerford, accompanied by organist Charles Mayhood. The
offertory gifts were presented by his nieces Claire McKirryher, Nancy Steadman
and Lynn Watson. Bearers were (Uncle John’s) Father’s nephews Alan, John and
Richard Terry; Charles, Jim, Peter, Robert and Thomas Chevalier. A guard of
honor was constantly present at the funeral home and church from the 1149
Assembly, Fourth Degree of the Knights of Columbus for their former state
chaplain. At the church, the Ladies of St. Anne formed an honor guard for the
processional and recessional. Attending were many priests, deacons and sisters
from several parishes of the diocese, the Sisters of Holy Cross, Sisters of
Mercy and the Edmundite Fathers, Bishop Brady Center, diocesan offices,
parishioners from many former parishes of Father Ledoux, Redstone Villa and
Holiday House Nursing Home and Franklin County Home Health Agency. Following
prayers of final commendation by Bishop Angell, the cortege proceeded to Mount
Calvary Cemetery where Father Ledoux was laid to rest next to his parents in
the Ledoux/Lavallee family lot. Prayers of committal were offered by Bishop
Angell, the Rev. Reid Mayo, and the Rev. William Beaudin. Wednesday, the Rev.
Maurice Roy, pastor of Holy Angels Church, held a Christian wake service and
the Knights of Columbus, from several Vermont councils, held a rosary service,
in the Brady & Levesque Funeral Home.
 

ESSEX
JUNCTION — WILLARD, George C. — Funeral services were held Thursday,
May 10, 2001, at 11 a.m. in the United Methodist Church in Essex Center.
Burial followed in the family lot in Mountain View Cemetery in Essex Center.
Bearers were grandsons Ricki Chappell, Craig Chappell, and Dan Thibault and
nephews Greg Chioffi, Ben Chioffi and Rick Derby. Corbin and Palmer Funeral
Home, 9 Pleasant St., Essex Junction, was in charge of arrangements.

CORNWALL — MARTIN, Florence — The graveside committal service and
burial for Florence Martin, who passed away Jan. 30, 2001, will be held
Friday, May 11, at 2 p.m. in the family lot in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in
Cornwall. The Rev. Richard Neal, pastor of the Middlebury United Methodist
Church, will officiate. Guests are encouraged to meet at the cemetery.

BURLINGTON — PRATT,
Hubert Clifford Sr
. — A graveside committal service will take place at 11
a.m. Friday, May 11, 2001, in Mount Calvary Cemetery Annex on Pomeroy Street
in Burlington for Hubert Pratt, who died in Burlington on Dec. 16, 2000. Mr.
Pratt will receive full military honors. Arrangements are by Boucher and

Beatrice E. ”Bea’
‘ — A memorial service for Beatrice E. Sawyer, 85, of
Palm Gardens, Fla., will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 11, in St. Pauls
Cathedral, Burlington. She was formerly a resident of Burlington for 25 years.
She died Monday, February 12, 2001 after a long illness. Contributions may be
made in her memory to the Alzheimers Association, Green Mountain Chapter, P.O.

Brigham, 79, of Wallingford, who died at his home Feb. 22, 2001, will be

–A memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, May
12, 2001, at 10 a.m. in St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Hinesburg Rd., South
Burlington. Edie died April 9, in Fletcher Allen Health Care. The family
wishes to extend Dr. Jonathan Hayden their sincere appreciation for his
concerned care shown through his doctor/patient relationship over the past few
years.

— The graveside committal service and burial with
military honors for Francis P. ”Hank” Martin who passed away February 27,
2001, in Bradford, Penn. will be held Saturday, May 12, at 2:30 p.m. in the

Mutch, who passed away Feb. 21, 2001, will be held in St. Mark Church on North
Avenue on Saturday, May 12, at 10 a.m. A committal service will follow in
Berlin Corners Cemetery at 12:15 p.m.


BURLINGTON — MUTCH, Angelina S. — A Mass of Christian Burial was
celebrated Saturday, May 12, at 10 a.m. for Angelina S. Mutch, who passed away
February 21, 2001. Celebrating the Mass at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in
Burlington was the Rev. Joseph Blattner. The readings were proclaimed by Sr.
Marie. The offertory gifts were presented by Noah Naft and Collin Semprebon.
Words of remembrance were shared by Angelina’s daughter, Alison Elliott. The
music was by Mary O’Kane. Interment followed in the Berlin Corners Cemetery
with the Rev. Paul Houde offering committal prayers. Arrangements were by the
LaVigne Funeral Home, Winooski.

 


BURLINGTON — POTTER, June Ida (Scott) — A graveside committal service
will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 12, 2001, in Lakeview Cemetery in
Burlington for June Ida (Scott) Potter, who died in Colchester on Nov. 18,
2000. Arrangements are by Boucher and Pritchard Funeral Directors.

 


CHARLOTTE — WRISLEY, Ella M. — Funeral services were held Saturday,
May 12, 2001, in the Charlotte Congregational Church with the Rev. Will
Burhans officiating. Organist was Dick Van Vliet. A delegation from Charlotte
Central School attended. Hinesburg LaPlotte Chapter 64, O.E.S., performed the
Eastern Star ceremony. Many friends shared their remembrances. Interment was
in Grandview Cemetery in Charlotte. Bearers were all grandsons, Kevin Dike,
Sean Dike, Kenneth Wrisley, Michael Wrisley, Willard Wrisley and Brian Wrisley.
Arrangements were by the Brown-McClay Funeral Home, Vergennes.

BURLINGTON — ROBISTOW Ruth E. — A Mass of Christian Burial was
celebrated Monday, May 14, at St. Marks Roman Catholic Church by the Rev.
Joseph Blattner. Readings were proclaimed by Ruth’s niece. Claire Hungerford
was the cantor. Interment followed in Resurrection Park Cemetery with the
Rev. Blattner reading the committal prayers. The bearers were Ruth’s
nephews, David and Jim Robistow, and Tom Brown; a great-nephew, Greg Brown;
and close family friend, Bill Leach. Arrangements were by Boucher and
Pritchard Funeral Directors.

 
UNDERHILL CENTER —
SAGE, Merton W.
, 98, of Pleasant Valley, Underhill, affectionately known
as ""Mayor of Pleasant Valley,” died Dec. 29, 2000, in Burlington, VT. His
burial will take place with graveside comments in Pleasant Valley Cemetery
located on Dean Road at 11:30 a.m. Monday, May 14, 2001.

HEATHERINGTON, Avis Laura (Brown) — A graveside service will be
held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2001, in Riverview Cemetery in Richmond. Mrs.
Heatheringto died April 4 in Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington. A
scholarship fund for nursing students will be established in Avis’ memory at
Fletcher Allen Health Care with donations being sent in care of Letty Piper. A
fund will also be established at Elizabeth City Hospital in Elizabeth City,
N.C. Gifford Funeral Service, 22 Depot St., Richmond, is in charge of

ALBANS — PIERCE, Donald C. — A memorial service, in celebration of
the life of former Bellows Free Academy of St. Albans headmaster, Donald C.
Pierce, will be held Friday, May 18, 2001, at 2 p.m. in St. Paul United
Methodist Church in St. Albans. Friends and acquaintances are invited to
bring their memories of Don to share with all in attendance. A reception
will be held in the church fellowship hall directly following the memorial
service. A committal service will be held Saturday, May 19, at 11 a.m. at
the family lot in the town of Lyndon Cemetery in Lyndon Center.

 


STARKSBORO — PURINTON, Elsie — Elsie M. Purinton, 70, died Monday,
December 25, 2000 at her home in Starksboro. Interment services will Friday,
May 18, at 11 a.m. at Green Mountain Cemetery in Starksboro.

— A graveside service with military honors will
be held on Saturday, May 19, 2001 at 11 a.m. in Riverview Cemetery,
Richmond. Mr. Bosley died on April 2, 2001, at Fletcher Allen Health Care in
Burlington. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Care

JEFFERSONVILLE — LaBARRON, Newton A. — A graveside service will be
held Saturday, May 19, 2001, at 10 a.m. in North Cambridge Cemetery in
Cambridge for Newton A. LaBarron, who passed away April 7. The Rev. Craig L.
Bensen of the Cambridge United Church will conduct the service in the cemetery
and offer committal prayers. The deceased World War II veteran will also be
accorded full military burial honors at the service. Arrangements are by
Hayes-Rich Funeral Home, 1176 Main St., Fairfax.

HAVEN/BONITA SPRINGS, Fla — LARROW, Lenore — Lenore Larrow, 74,
passed away Thursday, January 4, 2001 at the Health Park Medical Center in
Fort Myers, Fla. after a short illness. A Mass of Christian Burial will be
celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday May 19 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in
Bristol. Interment will be in Mt. St. Joseph Cemetery in Bristol.

HAVEN — STEADY, Eltheda — Eltheda (Tead) Steady, died Friday, March
30, 2001 in Porter Medical Center in Middlebury. Funeral services will be held
Saturday May 19, at 1 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in New Haven. There will be
no public calling hours. Contributions may be made to the New Haven Public
Library, New Haven, Vt. 05472. Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Bristol will be in

Joseph Co-Cathedral. The gifts were presented by Charlene Courville, Mary
Bouffard and Theresa Gallinari. Interment followed in Holy Cross Cemetery with
Father Hornat conducting the committal service. Full military honors were then
accorded by the Vermont Army National Guard. Bearers were: Kevin and Nicky
Courville, Gerald Bouffard, Hank Gallinari, Leo Yandow and Joseph Meunier.
Arrangements were in the care of Elmwood-Meunier Funeral Home, 97 Elmwood Ave.

 


COLCHESTER — TICEHURST, Alfred L. Jr — A Mass of Christian Burial was
celebrated on Saturday, May 26, 2001 at 10 a.m. in the Holy Cross Catholic
Church in Colchester with Rev. Roger Charbonneau officiating. The Readings
were proclaimed by Alfred’s brother, James J. Ticehurst. The Offertory Gifts
were presented by Alfred’s grandson, Daniel Ticehurst and his niece,
Alexandria Ticehurst. The Eucahristic Minister was Sr. Carmen Proulx. The
Altar servers were Leonel Sabourin and Francis Desrocher. The music was by
Mary O’Kane. Interment followed in the Holy Cross Cemetery with Fr.
Charbonneau offering committal prayers. Full military honors were accorded the
deceased by members of the Vermont Army National Guard. Arrangements were by

celebrated on Monday, May 28, 2001, at 10:30 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Chapel
at Mount St. Mary’s Convent by the Rev. Wendell Searles. Concelebrating was
the Rev. Richard Lavalley. The greeters were Sr. Theresa Duford and Sr. Gladys
Kinnville. The greeter of the assembly was Sr. Jeannine Mercure. The cross
bearer was Sr. Janet Rock. For the blessing of the body, the Holy Water was
carried by Sr. izabeth O’Neil, the reader was Sr. Ruth Ravey, the pall was
carried by Sheila Hartnett and Mary Ann Reffle, the cross was carried by Sr.
Mary Boiselle and the vows by Sr. Isoline Duclos. The readings were proclaimed
by Sr. Mary Stewart and Debbie Aitchison. The Prayer of the Faithful was read
by Lori Rand. The offertory gifts were presented by Emily, Calvin and Cheryl
Karparis. The Eucharistic Ministers were Sr. Beatrice Couture, Sr. Ann
Provost, and Sr. Helen Malbourne. Music was provided by the Sisters of Mercy
with guitarists Sr. Aline Paris and Sr. Claire Boissy, pianist Sr. Rita

Searles reading committal prayers. Pallbearers were James and Brian Aitchison,
Charles Karparis, Daniel and Michael Denis and John Rand. Arrangements were by
the Ready Funeral Home, 261 Shelburne Road, Burlington.

WINOOSKI
JOHNSON, Shawn C. — A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated
Tuesday, May 29, 2001, at 11 a.m. in St. Francis Xavier Church by the Rev.
Richard Lavalley. The readings were by Thomas Kane. Music and singing were by
Lucille Dupont. Among the many in attendance were representatives from the
Vermont Center for Cancer Medicine, Vermont Gas, IBM, WVNY-TV, Fletcher Allen
Health Care, and several of Shawn’s close friends. Burial will be at a later
date at the convenience of the family. Arrangements made by the LaVigne
Funeral Home in Winooski.

RICHMOND — NOEL, Leopold ”Paul"" — A Mass of Christian Burial was
celebrated Wednesday, May 30, at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary
Church in Richmond by the Rev. Ronald Benoit. The readings were proclaimed
by nephews Dan Noel and Bill Lacroix. The offeratory gifts were presented by
nieces, Gina Nelson and Penny Howes. Sharing fond memories of her uncle was
Joyce Noel Gingras. Soloist was Gale Hansen-Patenaude, accompanied by
organist Mary Jo Andrews. Interment took place in the family lot in Our Lady
of the Holy Rosary Cemetery with Rev. Benoit conducting the commital
prayers. Pallbearers were Ken Nelson, Bryan Howes, and nephews, Ken Dan,
Brent, Chris and Clem Noel. Representatives were in attendance from Our Lady
of the Holy Rosary Church, the Burlington Free Press, IBM, Sherwin Electric,
Lang Realty, Richmond High School alumni, neighbors and longtime friends.
Gifford Funeral Service, 22 Depot Street, Richmond is in charge of
arrangements.

 


WILLISTON — TARRIER, Henry Burke — Graveside services will be held on
Wednesday, May 30, 2001 at 1 p.m. in the East Cemetery in Williston with Rev.
Donald Ravey offering committal prayers. Full military honors will be accorded
the deceased by the Vermont National Guard. Services are by the LaVigne
Funeral Home, Winooski, Vt.

COLCHESTER — CONNER, Linwood K. — A memorial Mass for Linwood K.
Conner will be celebrated Thursday, May 31, 2001, at 5:15 p.m. in Holy Cross
Catholic Church in Colchester. Interment will be Saturday, June 2, at 11 a.m.
in Holy Cross Cemetery in Colchester with the Rev. Roger Charbonneau
officiating. Arrangements made by the LaVigne Funeral Home, Winooski.

 


BURLINGTON — CORRIGAN, Richard F. — Funeral services were held
Thursday, May 31, 2001, at noon with Deacon Eugene Herrick officiating at
Elmwood-Meunier Funeral Chapel. 97 Elmwood Ave. His fiancee, Chrissy Noyes,
was present along with his family and many good friends. Interment will be on
Wednesday, June 6, at 12:30 p.m. in Mount Calvary Cemetery Annex, Pomeroy
Sreett.

 


HINESBURG — HARRIS, Bernard Edward — A largely attended Mass of
Christian Burial was celebrated on Thursday, May 31, at 11 a.m. in St. Jude’s
Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Gerald Ragis officiating. Music was
provided by Christine and Kenneth Hebert. The readings were proclaimed by his
aunt, Catherine Moyer, and by his brother, Dan Harris. Friends of the family
sang ”Go Rest High on the Mountain” as a tribute to Bernie. Words of
remembrance were offered and the Serenity prayer was lead by family friend,
Sally Reed. Pallbearers were his brothers, Daniel, Edmund and Samuel Harris
and friends Jason Sibley, Josh LaBelle and Dillon Degree. Arrangements were by
the Ready Funeral Home, South Chapel, 261 Shelburne Rd. Burlington.
