Warren J. Coolidge ritesLUDLOW – A graveside service for Warren J. Coolidge, 84, who died Thursday, was held Sunday in Plymouth Notch Cemetery by the Rev. Jane Buswell, pastor of the Tyson Congregational Church.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Cabot Funeral Home in Woodstock.

Glenna B. Gobin RitesWINDSOR – The memorial service for Glenna “Skip” Belden Gobin, 53, who died April 22, was held Sunday at the Miller & Ketcham Funeral Home.

The Rev. Suellen Leugers, pastor of Plainfield, N.H., Community Church, officiated.

Burial followed in Pine Hill Cemetery.

Following the service the family received friends at the home of a sister, Holly Massores of Pittsford.

Arrangements were under the direction of Miller & Ketcham Funeral Home.

Gladys L. Alexander ritesThe funeral for Gladys Louise Alexander, 81, of Rutland, who died Friday, was held Monday at the Aldous Funeral Home by the Rev. Thomas V. Mattison, pastor of Christ the King Church. Burial followed in Evergreen Cemetery.

A reception followed at the Parker House in Rutland.

Among the survivors include a close friend, Barbara James.

Eleanor H. Candon ritesPITTSFORD – A graveside service for Eleanor H. Candon, 78, who died Feb. 4, was held Monday at St. Alphonsus Cemetery in Pittsford by the Rev. Joseph Romano, pastor of St. Alphonsus Church.

Military honors were provided by American Legion Post 31.

Flag folders were Jim Burke, LeRoy Norse, Gary Fitzgerald and George Zsido with Mr. Zsido presenting the flag to the family.

Mr. Zsido played taps.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Barnard Funeral Home.

Lorraine C. Dahlin ritesThe funeral for Lorraine Cassidy Dahlin, 76, of Rutland, who died Thursday, was held Monday at Christ the King Church by the Rev. Thomas V. Mattison, associate pastor. Burial followed in Evergreen Cemetery by the Rev. Mattison.

Organist was Sister Pauline Gratton and vocalist was Sister Francis Patrick.

A prayer service was held Sunday at the Clifford Funeral Home by the Rev. Mattison.

Susan J. DunleavyBRATTLEBORO – The funeral Mass for Susan Jane Dunleavy, 38, who died Thursday, was held Monday at St. Michael’s Catholic Church by the Rev. Normand Nadeau, pastor. Burial followed in St. Michael’s Cemetery by Sister Claire Marie.

Organist was Corrine Grover and soloist was Regina Reffi. Readings were offered by Helen Moynihan and the Rev. Nadeau, who also gave the eulogy.

Bearers were two cousins, Michael Baronas and Charles Baronas, and Chuck Gouger, James Wells, John Wells and Peter Duff.

A Catholic vigil service was held Sunday evening at the Atamaniuk Funeral Home in Brattleboro by Sister Claire Marie.

Members of the F.O. Eagles Auxiliary Brattleboro Aerie 2445, conducted a memorial service Sunday afternoon at the funeral home.

A reception followed at the American Legion on Linden Street.

Frank Jakubiak ritesWEST RUTLAND – The funeral Mass for Frank J. Jakubiak, 83, who died Friday, was held Monday at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church by the Rev. Frank Warzocha, pastor. Con-celebrant was the Rev. Adam Krempa, pastor of St. Anne Church in Middletown Springs. Burial followed in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery with the Rev. Warzocha officiating assisted by the Rev. Krempa.

Organist was Dorothy Blicharz.

Reader was Juli-Jo Jakubowski.

Bearers were nephews, Stanley Jakubiak, Robert Geryk, John Oscielowski and Christopher Jakubiak, all of West Rutland, and Joseph Ladabouche and Joseph Mondella, both of Rutland.

Military honors were provided by the West Rutland American Legion Post 87. Flag folders were Wally Pratt and Ron Kantorski. Bugler was Michelle Gorham.

A prayer service was held Monday at the Mullin-Clifford Funeral Home by the Rev. Warzocha.

Daisy M. Scott ritesMIDDLEBURY – The funeral for Daisy M. Scott, who died Friday, was held Monday at the Sanderson Funeral Service by the Rev. Diana Scholl, chaplain of Porter Medical Center. Burial followed in Weybridge Hill Cemetery.

Bearers were Marc Desabrais, Roger Desabrais, Todd Desabrais, Watson Scott, Peter Scott and Mike Bordeleau.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Sanderson Funeral Service in Middlebury.

Elsa A. Williamson ritesThe funeral for Elsa A. Williamson, 90, of Rutland Town, who died Friday, was held Monday at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. The Rev. William F. Howard, interim minister, officiated. Burial was held in Evergreen Cemetery in Rutland with the Rev. Howard officiating.

Organist was Mary Millett.

Words of remembrance were offered by a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Janet Williamson.

Readers were Ray Revenna and Jennifer Williamson.

Bearers were Robert J. Williamson, Timothy Williamson, George Lengol, Richard Weidmann and Peter Millett, all of Rutland, and Paul Gustafson of Clifton Park, N.Y.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home in Bennington.

Della L. Fortier ritesThe funeral for Della L. Fortier, 65, of Rutland, who died Wednesday, was held Tuesday at the Aldous Funeral Home by the Rev. Thomas V. Mattison of Christ the King Church in Rutland. Burial followed in Evergreen Cemetery.

Bearers were sons, Richard Champine Sr. of Killington, Bernard Fortier Jr. and Edward Davis Sr. of Rutland and Carlton Kingsley of Newport.

John GlagolaThe funeral service for John Glagola, 89, of Rutland Town, who died Friday evening, April 28, 2000, at the Rutland Regional Medical Center following a brief illness, will be held 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Aldous Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Cheney Hill Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Anna Livak of Rutland Town; three sons, John Allen Glagola of Rutland Town, Thomas Glagola of Houston, Texas, and Edward Glagola of Pocomoke City, Md.; a sister, Anne Schein of Tom’s River, N.J.; a brother, Charles Glagola of Pensacola, Fla.; three granddaughters, Ruth Glagola, Carol Glagola and Jennifer Glagola, all of Pocomoke City, Md.; a niece, Virginia Schein of Gettysburg, Pa.; three nephews, George Kotuby of Bailey Island, Maine, Dustin Dunn of Coral Gables, Fla., and Robert Glagola of Gainesville, Fla.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

John Glagola ritesThe funeral for John Glagola, 89, of Rutland Town, who died Friday, was held Tuesday at the Aldous Funeral Home by Charles Skuba of Hartford, Conn. Burial followed in Cheney Hill Cemetery.

Bearers were George Livak and Nelson Berg, both of Rutland Town, Frank Livak of Anderson, S.C., Andrew Livak of Brandon, Dexter Livak of Rutland and George Kotuby of Bailey Island, Maine.

Robert D. JohnsonWEATHERSFIELD – Robert D. Johnson, 70, died Tuesday at Springfield Hospital.

Arrangements are pending with Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield. A complete obituary will appear in a later edition.

Karen B. McLaughlin ritesBRATTLEBORO – The funeral for Karen Bridget McLaughlin, 44, who died Thursday, was held Tuesday at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church by the Rev. Jean S. Jersey, rector. Burial followed in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Putney by the Rev. Jersey.

Organist was Susan Klein. Words of remembrance were given by the Rev. Jersey. Tributes were offered by two sisters, Michele Rowland and Maureen McLaughlin.

Bearers were a brother, Michael McLaughlin, a brother-in-law, Timothy Rowland, and cousins, Matthew Catalani and George Burns.

A reception followed a the Putney Inn.

Pearl E. Murphy RitesBENNINGTON – The funeral for Pearl E. Murphy, who died April 30, was held Tuesday at the Mahar & Son Funeral Home by the Rev. Deborah Trolenberg, pastor of the Shaftsbury United Methodist Church. Burial was held in Park Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Trolenberg.

Words of remembrance were offered by two daughters, Vicki Hoag and Sally Sprague.

Bearers were children, Dawn Jones, Patty Sprague, Vicki Hoag, Mary Parizo, Kimberly Pratt, Orville J. Peterson and Sally Sprague, also Clark Salmon.

A memorial service was held Friday at the Kidder Funeral Home in Swanton by the Rev. David Smith, pastor of the Memorial United Methodist Church.

Organist at the memorial service was Mary Jo Gillilan.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Mahar & Son Funeral Home in Bennington.

James F. O’NeillCASTLETON – The graveside service for Maj. James F. O’Neill, USAF Retired, who died Jan. 9, will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Hillside Cemetery in Castleton.

The Rev. Richard Tinney, parish priest of Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Fair Haven, will officiate.

Full military honors will be provided by the Vermont Air National Guard, Honor Guard Detail from South Burlington.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Durfee Funeral Home in Fair Haven.

Marian C. AsinofQUECHEE – The graveside service for Marian C. Asinof of Quechee, who died Jan. 24, will be held Wednesday at noon in the Vermont Veterans Cemetery in Randolph.

A memorial service for Paul J. Trottier, who died Feb. 21, will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction.

Jeffrey L. Clark RitesBRATTLEBORO – The funeral Mass for Jeffrey L. Clark, 48, who died April 30, was held Wednesday at St. Michael’s Catholic Church by the Rev. Charles Danielson, parochial vicar. Burial followed in Guilford Center Cemetery in Guilford.

Organist was Corrine Grover.

Readings were offered by Helen Moynihan.

Words of remembrance were offered by Nicholas Clark accompanied by his sister, Erika.

Special tribute and reflections were offered by a friend, Bruce Davin.

The eulogy was given by the Rev. Danielson.

Bearers were Alan Clark, a cousin, William Bucossi, Douglas Canedy, Gary St. John, Bernard LaRock Jr., Bruce Davin, Mark Robinson and Peter Larkin.

A reception followed at the Brattleboro Elks Home on Putney Road.

A Catholic vigil service was held Tuesday afternoon by the Rev. Danielson at the Atamaniuk Funeral Home.

Members of the Brattleboro Lodge of Elks held a memorial service at the funeral home Tuesday evening.

Members of the Brattleboro Fire Department and Guilford Fire Department were in attendance at the funeral.

Mary A. MacCartyThe graveside service for Mary A. MacCarty, 79, of Rutland, who died Feb. 13, will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in Evergreen Cemetery in Rutland. The Rev. Thomas V. Mattison, associate pastor of Christ the King Church, will officiate.

The graveside service with military honors for Francis W. Trombley, 80, of Rutland, who died Feb. 10, will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in St. Stanislaus Cemetery in West Rutland. The Rev. Thomas V. Mattison, associate pastor of Christ the King Church, will officiate.

Frank Gould RitesWALLINGFORD – A graveside service for Frank Clarence Gould, 63, who died May 1, was held Thursday at the Danby-Scottsville Cemetery by the Rev. Channing Greene, pastor of the Wallingford Baptist Church.

Military honors were provided by the American Legion Post 31.

Margery Hults RitesWEST RUTLAND – The funeral for Margery T. Hults, 90, who died April 28, was held Thursday at the United Church in West Rutland by her son, the Rev. Edward Hults of Westminster. The Rev. Pam Lucas gave the benediction.

Words of remembrance were given by a granddaughter, Christine Dayton, and a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. William and Jane Hults.

Organist was Ruth Trall. Soloist and flutist was the Rev. Kaye Hult of Bellows Falls.

Bearers were Jeffrey Mason of Shoreham, Eric Hults of Benson, Dennis Golis of Toledo, Ohio, and Christopher Mason and Michael Chadwick, both of Clarendon.

The Gilman Chapter 88 Order of Eastern Star held a service Wednesday evening at the Tossing Funeral Home under the direction of Richard Berry, Marie Woard and Charlotte Steele.

John Maher RitesFOREST DALE – The funeral Mass for John Lynch Maher, 85, who died April 30, was held Thursday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Middlebury by the Rev. John McDermott. A private graveside service followed in Green Mount Cemetery in Montpelier.

Organist and soloist was Bonnie Johnson of Leicester.

Bearers were Russell Smith of Montpelier, Jim Sherwin of Leicester, Al Stevens and Gary Stanley, both of Brandon.

Earl W. MartinFAIR HAVEN – A graveside service for Earl M. Martin, who died Feb. 29, will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in Hillside Cemetery in Castleton by the Rev. J. Charles Durham, pastor of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.

Full military honors will be provided by Crippen Fellows Post 50, American Legion of Castleton.

Frederick Z. BishopA graveside service for Frederick Z. Bishop, who died Dec. 21, will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. in Hillside Cemetery in Castleton by the Rev. Mary Jane Eaton, lay minister. Full military honors will be provided by the Crippen Fellows Post 50, American Legion of Castleton.

Charlotte S. Champine RitesThe funeral for Charlotte S. Champine, who died May 2, was held Friday at the Barnard Funeral Home in Pittsford by the Rev. Mark Pitton, pastor of the Grace Congregational United Church of Christ. Burial followed in Cheney Hill Cemetery in Rutland Town.

Bearers were Donald Therriault, Todd Cooley, Christopher Ernst, John Spencer, Maurice Hawley and Nelson Berg.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Jean Wardwell, in 1996.

Joyce ClaceBELLOWS FALLS – A graveside service for Joyce Clace, who died Feb. 18, will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. in Oak Hill Cemetery in Bellows Falls.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Fenton & Hennessey Funeral Home in Bellows Falls.

Doris H. Coles RitesA memorial service for Doris Hansen Coles, 77, of Rutland Town, who died May 1, was held Friday at the Chapel at Grace Congregational United Church of Christ by the Rev. Robert B. Curry, pastor, officiated.

Organist was John P. Riddle Jr.

Military honors were provided by the Geno-Robinson American Legion Post 11.

Ruth H. CoullALSTEAD, N.H. – A graveside service for Ruth Hoey Coull, who died April 5, will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in Pine Grove Cemetery in Alstead.

Survivors include a sister, Hilda Gerrish; and two stepdaughters, Karen Jones of Liverpool, N.Y., and Penny Palmer of Grantham, N.H.

She was predeceased by her husband, Ernest F. Coull.

SPRINGFIELD – Graveside services for Wallace H. Drury, 79, formerly of Tenney Road, who died Feb. 12, 2000, in New Port Richey, Fla., were held Saturday at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Weston. The Rev. Kermit Reilly, of Peru, officiated, along with members of the Springfield Odd Fellows Lodge. The Davis Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
Lora R. FooteCORNWALL – The funeral service for Lora R. Foote, who died Feb. 6, will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Cornwall Congregational Church by the Rev. Anne Hancock. Burial will follow in Cornwall Central Cemetery. A reception will be held in the church hall.

CORNWALL – Graveside committal services with military honors for Ernest G. Gorton, who died March 20, 2000, were held Saturday at the Evergreen Cemetery in Cornwall. The Rev. John McDermott, pastor of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Middlebury, officiated. Brandon American Legion Post 55 members Ernie Turpin, Stuart Fay, Perley Disorda, Denton Stone, Larry Baker, John Welch, Tom Rider, Dudley Berry and Buster Luther provided military honors. Family and friends gathered at the home of Joyce Gorton after the services. The Sanderson Funeral Service of Middlebury was in charge of arrangements.
Lloyd R. GoyettePOULTNEY – A graveside service for Lloyd Russell Goyette, 68, who died Feb. 13, will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in Hillside Cemetery in Castleton by the Rev. Mary Jane Eaton, lay clergy.

Johnson, 70, of Skyline Drive, who died unexpectedly May 2, 2000, on arrival at the Springfield Hospital, were held Saturday at the Ascutney Union Church in Ascutney. The Rev. Constance Moser, pastor, officiated. Catherine O’Steen was organist. The ushers were Ted Lillemoe, Ernie Shand, Henry “Chip” Cobb and Steve Hier. Private graveside services, led by Rev. Moser, were held Friday in Hamilton, Mass. The Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield was in charge of arrangements.
Glenn and Shirley LawrenceLUDLOW – A graveside service for Glenn and Shirley Lawrence will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in Ludlow Village Cemetery.
